Text Complexity: Quantitative Measurement Tools

Text complexity refers to how challenging a text is to read. Knowing how to measure text complexity is useful, because it supports your ability to ensure instructional materials are accessible to learners. Two common tools used to quantitatively measure text complexity are Lexile.com and Flesch-Kincaid (FK) in Word.
