As part of the Transformative Education 2.0 Purdue Move, and with generous financial support from the Lilly Endowment, the Office of the Provost invites applications for a new funding program related to the Provost’s goal of making Purdue the most innovative residential learning program in the US among large research universities.
The Purdue Innovation Hub will support innovative, transdisciplinary, and scalable initiatives and programs in teaching and learning. Projects should align with the Innovation Hub priorities of scalability and transdisciplinarity, while advancing teaching and learning in Purdue’s residential program.
Purdue Online will support, via its Skunkworks initiative, technologies that have the potential to improve teaching and learning and quickly incubate solutions that can move from small experimentation to full scale capability. The goal of the Skunkworks is to enable transformational change to the learning experience, not just incremental advances.
This jointly-issued RFP invites proposals in any of the areas described below, with the expectations that projects aligned with Innovation Hub will be funded by the Hub, and projects aligned with the Purdue Online Skunkworks will be funded by Purdue Online. Co-funding for projects is certainly possible.
